Christians aren't political, right? Wrong answer puddin' buns! We are to submit to the governing authority and that means voting today. Most of you won't have to be reminded, but some may be looking at the choices and wondering, "What's the use?" Alas, Paul did not say submit if you like the choices. I arrived in my new state to find 16 pairs of candidates on the presidential ballot. There are choices and then there are the ones we have never heard of. Did you know that Roseanne Barr is on our ballot for president? And you thought the Republican and Democrat choices were troublesome.
Submitting to those things God has put over us sometimes requires a sacrifice on our part. Voting in some states is made easier through mail ballots, but others still must go to a polling place and join the lines. Online voting is still problematic, but I read that some of those persons displaced by Hurricane Sandy will get to try it out this year. We live in an age of increasing convenience, and that means less excuses for us. Oops, just heard the polls in the Central Time zone are open, time to vote for those of you out east a bit!
May God guide our nation's voters on this day!Bucky
