Good morning! Some Fridays there are so many thoughts accumulated during the week that it seems I will not be able to relax on the weekend. School, work, financial, and household issues, on and on it goes without an end. I know you face the same things in your life. Praise God we are not alone; he gives us the strength, wisdom, and courage to face our challenges and to be victorious over them. This weekend as we pray for ourselves and each other; take some time to meditate on Jesus. Perhaps using a short scripture, or one of his lessons or parables, perhaps just think on him and listen to some instrumental music. Quiet time is essential for our recovery and we must use it on a regular basis to be effective. I have been guilty of getting caught up in the rush; this happens with some of my classes. Often an illness; especially the lengthy, non specific, “I just feel bad” kind of illnesses come as the result of exhaustion, both mental and physical. It is only when recovery begins that I realize what has happened one more time. Find some time for yourself, for your own mental recovery and quiet peace. Jesus dumps his peace on us by the bucketful, but so often we throw up an umbrella of business.
Go with God,
Bucky
