Valentine's Day

Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You;
Let such as love Your salvation say continually,
“The LORD be magnified!” (Psalm 40:16)

In the days between conception and delivery, Mary the mother of our Lord sang, "My soul magnifies the Lord!" (Luke 1:46) The baby she carried was the Lord's salvation, the child promised by God to save us from our sins. On this Valentine's Day, we magnify our beloved Lord Jesus too. We sing our songs of love to our Savior!

Is it okay to send some love to a sweetheart too? Of course, the second great commandment our Lord gave us, equally important to the first, was to love our neighbor as ourselves. And what is that sweetheart but your closest neighbor? Send out the love this Valentine's Day!
