He is Risen! The past few days we have talked about the suffering of Jesus on the cross, but today that is past. Today we look to the glory of the risen Son of God. We glorify our risen Savior, the Messiah, the King of kings and Lord of lords. On this day so many years ago, Mary Magdalene met an angel beside the tomb and received the news that Jesus was no longer there. Like many of us, Mary asked where they had put him. She didn’t quite understand the Good News at that time. Caught up in this world, we often fail to understand just how much God loves us. Today let us live for the joy of the Lord; let us rest in his peace, and praise him for his victory! “Oh death where is thy sting, grave where is thy victory?” Gone and gone, Jesus now holds the keys to death and the grave. The Son of God loves each and every one of us in a special and all-encompassing way.
