Not By The Law

And by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.  Acts 13:39

Have you got the lusts of the flesh under ironclad control? Is your every moment obedient to the law of Moses? Congratulations, you and the Pharisees have much in common. I fear there will be a great shock when you meet Jesus though. The Pharisees were proud of their strict law keeping, but our Lord took issue with them and pointed out what the scriptures had to say about their merciless law enforcement and traditions. 

Then there was the rest of us, the once-born sinners who depended upon the mercy of Jesus to become reborn saints. A woman caught in adultery? Not only were we not qualified to throw stones, having done it by deed or thoughts ourselves, but we don't want to kill someone with rocks or by any other means. We want to sit there with Jesus and draw in the sand. Children would know exactly what our Lord was doing down there and would have been there with Him before us.

Yay, let's get down with the Lord and play in the dirt.
