Get That Last Bit Right, Please!

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7

But wasn't my time due some time ago? We may be confused about many things in these two verses from our brother Peter. Humbling ourselves is not to make disparaging comments about our self. The Lord's due time is probably not the time we think we deserve some recognition. And casting our cares upon Him does not mean we get to keep some worry to mull over in a spare moment. All of that God in His dear Holy Spirit will take care of in us. However, can we get that last bit right, please?

"For He cares for you," is such a personal statement meant to uplift us and ease that burden we feel, you know the one we haven't give up to Him yet. God cares for me? We might ask that with a bit of disbelief on the side. Peter our senior brother assures us in this age that, yes, He cares for you and me. God cares for you and me! No question about it. He proved it on the cross and in the resurrection. God cares for people like you and me. Rejoice in that today.

Grace to you on this great day in Jesus,

Bucky
