Why Write To Each Other?

For from you the word of the Lord has sounded forth, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place. Your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to say anything. 1 Thessalonians 1:8

A quick perusal of the news this morning is a sure way to run to the word of God. I'm sure by now that many days have come where the news from the world has made you feel soiled. The word of the Lord is a sure antidote to what is going on right now all around us. Yet, much of the Bible is made up of people sinning, much like the news of today. So, what is the difference?

Words of faith! From, God to us, a king to God, Jesus to the disciples, an apostle to believers, and finally from God to us once more! The Bible is rich in the words of comfort we need in the trials, the words of encouragement to face the day, and the word of love from God our Father. As such a big part of the Bible is made up of messages from our Lord and letters from our brothers and sisters in Christ, we are glad to write, speak, and sing one to another in the body of Christ. As many have said, all of the Bible is His story and His message of love to us.

But why write it to each other? Paul comforted and encouraged the Thessalonians by assuring them that the word of the Lord was going forth from them to every place. Keep on communicating that word of the Lord, it is going forth from you too.

Love in Christ,
Bucky
